Stretch Tents or freeform tents as they are sometimes called are a new kind of marquee made from a hybrid polyester laminate, treated to be waterproof, UV resistant and fire retardant.
The fabric is matt in appearance and slightly translucent, giving it a ‘soft velvety’ look that does not need further decoration or drapery. The fabric looks especially stunning in the evening with ambient lighting and subtle decor.
A large rectangular piece of this fabric is anchored at the corners and raised by a number of different length poles. The structure takes form according to the poles placement and maintains its strength and shape by the tension of the fabric’s down-pressure on these poles.
The difference in weight and pitching components means the structure is pitched very quickly compared to traditional steel frame shelter.
